Installing SpiderOakONE Backup

Setting up SpiderOakONE is fast and straightforward. From download to your first backup, the entire process typically takes just a few minutes so you can begin protecting your data right away.

**1\. Download the Installer**  
Choose the correct installer for your operating system from the downloads section above. The file is a standard installer package (.msi for Windows, .pkg for macOS).  
  
**2\. Run the Installer**  
Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen prompts. The installer will guide you through each step.  
  
**3\. Create Your Account**  
When the app launches for the first time, you will be prompted to create an account with your email, name, and a password. No credit card is required to start your trial.  
  
**4\. Name Your Device**  
Give your computer a recognizable name. This helps SpiderOakONE keep track of which files belong to which machine if you add more computers later.  
  
**5\. Select Files for Backup**  
Choose folders or file categories (Documents, Desktop, Pictures, etc.) to back up. Click Save, and your first backup begins automatically.
